Quad/Graphics Field Service Engineer in United States

QuadTech, the research and development subsidiary of Quad/Graphics, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our QuadTech USA Service Team. This position involves about 90% travel, domestically and internationally. Due to a strong customer base in the Southeast, this position will be based remotely. However, proximity to the Atlanta Metro area is ideal. Initial training will be conducted in our Corporate Headquarters in Sussex, WI for the first 3 to 6 months of employment.

The QuadTech Field Service Engineer performs the installation, maintenance of all QuadTech manufactured auxiliary systems, and conducts operator and maintenance training on these systems.

Key Accountabilities :

  • InstallQuadTech equipment

  • Coordinateproper layout of cable runs/pulls with OEMs and customers

  • Terminatecables and wires

  • Installand configure software

  • Mountequipment components

  • Optimizethe system

  • Startup and commission equipment

  • Troubleshootequipment at equipment location and via phone support

  • Coordinatemachine/project schedule (up/down time) with OEMs and end user customer

  • Traincustomers on operation and maintenance of equipment

  • Establishand build positive working relationships with customers

  • Detailedand timely job reports

  • Beable to manage to a budget

  • Activelyengage in the facility’s safety program to assist with achieving thesafety goals

  • Keepup with updates to the product lines via class room and online training

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintainaccurate inventory of tools

  • Maintainadequate inventory of spare parts

  • Completeand turn in job service reports

  • Completeand turn in expense reports

  • Readand respond to company email messages

  • Participatein product design reviews

  • Providetelephone service support

  • Superviseonsite workers during installation process

Qualifications

  • MinimumAssociate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from 2 year college or technicalschool, Bachelors degree preferred and/or related industry workexperience.

  • Intermediateto advanced PC and networking skills.

  • Abilityto read mechanical and electrical schematics

  • Knowledgeof functions of various electrical components, such as transformers,relays, PLCs and motor drives.

  • Abilityto speak foreign language(s) is a plus.

  • Proficientuse of hand and power tools, and electronic test/calibration equipment.

  • Willingand able to travel extensively (domestic and internationally).
