Quad/Graphics Assistant Controller in Sussex, Wisconsin

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting activities for the organization, preparing monthly financial reports, managing cash flow, client billing and maintaining custodial responsibility of the assets. The position is also responsible for maintenance of accounting systems including internal controls and financial policies and procedures. Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will manage the accounting staff.


  • Direct supervisory responsibility for staff including selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations, coaching and conducting corrective actions, and providing salary promotional recommendations

  • Prepare, analyze and confirm accuracy of financial statements including monthly and year-to-date Income Statement and Balance Sheet and any other financial management reports

  • Supports the annual audit process and preparation of tax returns for personal service corporations

  • Research and prepare analysis on historical financial trends and projections

  • Support improvements which will streamline existing processes and procedures

  • Support the implementation of changes to the financial/ERP system

  • Partner with business leaders to implement new programs/product lines

  • Support implementation of standard monthly reporting package and variance analysis

  • Establish accounting policies and procedures that ensure strong internal controls throughout the organization, monitor SOC 1 compliance and coordinate SOX compliance with Corporate QG.

  • Serves as back-up for Finance Lead-Client Billing

  • All other duties as assigned

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance


Must have 10 years of accounting experience; 5 years managerial

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

CPA certification preferred
