Quad/Graphics Logistics Coordinator in Bolingbrook, Illinois
The logistics division of Quad/Graphics, QuadExpress is responsible for moving billions of pounds of time-sensitive freight annually. As a consultative partner, we design customized solutions to deliver our customers’ freight, whether that’s by road or rail, air or sea.
The Logistics Coordinator (LC) will work with directly with the Carrier Development Specialist to expand relationships with core carriers. The LC will be responsible for tendering loads via Logistics Management System (LMS), tracking pick-ups and deliveries, and addressing customer and carrier concerns throughout load transit. This individual will coordinate with customer service to react quickly to resolve customer questions and concerns.
Tender loads to core carriers
Communicate with carrier dispatchers, customer service, and shipping/receiving clerks
Use independent discretion to prioritize job responsibilities to meet aggressive delivery deadlines
Continually monitor available load board, noting location for pick-up, delivery locations, pick-up dates, and required delivery dates
Identify, evaluate, and facilitate special delivery needs
Facilitate the customer’s delivery objectives in a timely and effective manner through constant and direct communication with carriers, customer service, and other departments
Applicant should have 1+ years in a transportation or logistics environment focusing on customer service
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Must be able to accurately process alphanumeric information
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong time management and organization skills
Must be able to prioritize
Strong attention to detail
Ability to think logically and make sound and reasoned decisions
